As we approach Drowning Prevention Week 13th-20th June, we will be talking about water safety with the children.
Norfolk is surrounded by water — from our coastline and rivers to the Broads, lakes, and harbours. These environments provide great opportunities for learning and enjoyment, but they also present real risks. By delivering a simple and engaging water safety lesson with school, we will be helping children understand how to stay safe in, on and around water.
Drowning Prevention Week, is led by the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS), and reinforces the message that anyone can drown — but no one should. Education and early conversations can save lives.
