Welcome to Conifer Class – Year 3 and 4

We are very excited to welcome the children back to school and we have a brilliant year planned for them. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the year, please email us via office@tunstead.norfolk.sch.uk.

Homework

(given out on Friday to be returned the next Thursday)
Spelling homework will be given out on a Friday and be tested on the following Friday. Children will be given a paper copy of the spellings to practice each week. The spelling pattern will be taught in school during daily spelling lessons. Maths homework is in the form of times tables practice on Times Tables Rockstars. There is a strong emphasis on learning the times tables in Key Stage 2 so that children are able to apply the facts in their learning and for the statutory multiplication check at the end of Year 4. There may be additional Maths or English homework, this will be work that has been covered in class during that week.

Reading

We encourage the children to read daily at home either to an adult or independently. If the children read 4 times within a week they will earn house points. If your child reads 4 times each week within a half term they can choose some prizes from the prize box.
